This is the guy you face when you approach the pick designated for Cid. His speed is slow, but he makes up for that with some really powerful attacks. He'll start out with Flame which burns up all allies. He'll then come at you with Laser which will most likely one-hit kill the character it selects. That said, this battle is easy. His slow speed and surprisingly low defense will prove ideal. He takes a lot of damage from Cid's hammer. If you still have Yang and Palom in your party, have Yang use Power for a huge hit, and Palom deliver a blast of OFiraga to him for more big damage. Death Mech will go down in no time at all.
 




HammerThor's Hammer is your prize for victory. It just feels right that you get a weapon for Cid from beating up a big creepy machine.
