15. Cid's Trial
| Enemies: | Lunar Ramuh |
| Treasures: |
When you enter the trial for Cid, you’ll start on a small slab of land with an airship. Hop in, and immediately you go on board with a man requesting you take him to Mysidia. He will give you a time limit of a minute and 20 seconds to get there, so you better be a lead foot. If you memorized the map, Mysidia is exactly south east of Baron.
When you drop the man off, a white mage will approach you requesting your assistance. She’ll beg you to take her to Troia, and you only have 60 seconds to get her there. To get there easy, head west to Agart, north to Baron, and then northwest until you see the forest. Head inside the town, not the castle.
And right on cue, when you drop her off, a monk approaches you asking for a lift back to Fabul. Cid’s airship has become more like a taxi it seems. You’ll have a short 40 ticks to get him to the kingdom. To get there, head east to the desert of Damcyan, then follow the land path to the castle. You should get there in half the time.
And what happens next? Another person requesting a ride. He’ll ask you to bring him to Kaipo. You get a whole 35 seconds to get him there in time for his daughter’s wedding. To get to Kaipo, find Damcyan to the west, then head south. Since you can’t land in the desert, you’ll have to find a green patch to land in off to the right. Then sprint to the town with time winding down.
Cid’s taxi service remains open for business when a child requests a ride to Agart to visit his grandmother. He requests to be there in under 30 seconds. Run to the airship and head due south past Baron. With luck, you’ll make it there with single digits remaining on the clock.
When you successfully drop the kid off, you’ll hop in your airship. But a weird force will claim you’ve been intruding upon “his” skies. He’ll challenge you to a fight. What else is new?

Take one guess at what his specialty is. If you guessed lightning, have a cookie. He'll counter every physical attack against him with If you're leveled, it shouldn't be that hard. In fact, this is one of the easier lunar guardian fights. Have your white mage keep the HP up, and just lay into him with your best attacks. I've found that Yang's Deadly move is bread and butter, raking in over 8000 every time. If there's one thing Lunar Ramuh has going for him, it's that he has a seemingly limitless amount of health. You could be delving at him with your best stuff and he just won't go away. But with due diligence, you'll be the victor. | |||||||
After claiming the skies as your own, you’ll get Ramuh’s grimoire, as well as
