Biography

Hilda is the de facto Queen of Lindblum and the wife of Regent Cid. At some point before the party arrives in the city, Hilda was abducted by an unknown assailant who also turned Cid into an oglop. Even though Cid is very shaken by the disappearance of his wife, oddly, nobody else seems to notice or care that the Queen of the entire realm of Lindblum has been missing for quite some time.

Perhaps the lack of caring about Hilda's abduction is just a factor of information - is it just a poorly-kept secret that Hilda was not initially kidnapped and she took off after learning that Cid had an affair? Shortly thereafter, she was taken by Kuja, and once the party rescues her at Mount Gulug, she spills all the details about Kuja's plan that he just couldn't keep quiet.
