8. Floors of Rememberance

Enemies: Various
Treasures: Various

Yes, this chapter is long. Sorry about that. Squenix didn't do much to help us organize it, you know. If you're looking for floors labeled as Lunar Ruins floors, you'll want the next chapter.

These rooms resemble areas that you've visited prior in the game. There are really no surprises in just where you're supposed to go. But be sure to look around as you may find some pleasant gifts in odd places.

Antlion's Nest

Enemies: Goblin Prince, Domovoi, Behemoth, Basilisk, Adamantoise, Echidna, Leshy, Yellow Jelly
Treasure: OElixir

Standing on the spot where you once faced the Antlion, head up the steps. Before exiting, head left and all the way around where you'll be greeted with a pretty cool treasure.

Cave of Eblan

Enemies: Coeurl Regina, Palace Guard, Bloody Bat
Treasure: ODry Ether

Quickly just make your way through it, no surprises.

Cave of Mist

Enemies: Stratoavis, King Bomb, Magic Dragon, Chaotic Knight, Coeurl Regina, Crystal Dragon, Insectus, Sword Rat, Goblin, Domovoi, Goblin Prince
Treasure: White Fang, WhipMist Whip, OCottage

You won't recognize this one right away because there is no mist like the first time you entered way back in the beginning of the game. Plus you're starting at the opposite end of the cave. Make your way up and around, nabbing the visible treasures, then head out.

Cave of Summoned Monsters

Enemies: Warrior, Mini Satana, Chaotic Knight, Crystal Dragon, Thunder Dragon, Stratoavis
Treasure: OCottage, OMegalixir

Resembling the first floor of the summoned cavern, you'll notice the damage tiles on the floor. So, the first thing to do is cast OFloat on everyone to avoid that damage. Head to the right, then down to get a treasure. Head back then up to the right where more treasure awaits. Head back then to the right to find the door.

Chocobo Stable

Treasure: Gysahl Whistle, SwordPiggy's Stick

You'll find yourself in an area resembling a chocobo stable. Scope out the place, latching onto the white chocobos that scurry about to replenish some MP. If you check out the trees to the southeastern most point, you'll find a path leading up to a secluded part with tall grass. Examine the tall grass for a whistle that'll summon the big chocobo just in case you need to drop off or pick up any items. Then check the northeastern most point to find another path between the trees for a specialty weapon. When you're set, head to the right to get to the next area.

Giant of Babil

Enemies:Echidna, Mech Dragon, Giant Soldier
Treasures: OX-Potion, ODry Ether

This place resembles the neck of the giant where you battled the Four Fiends. Head straight up, of course not leaving the two adjacent chests un-pilfered.

Giant of Babil (Mouth)

Enemies: Lamia Queen, Beamer, Palace Guard, King Bomb
Treasure: OX-Potion, ODry Ether

The easiness continues. Head up and grab the treasures. Then down the hatch.

Lunar Path

Enemies: Echidna, Lunar Virus, Prokaryote, Behemoth, Crawler
Treasures: OCottage, OPhoenix Down

This place should also look familiar. Head up and right for a treasure. Also make sure to nab the treasure to the right of the door. Then head onward.

Magnes Cave

Enemies: King Bomb, Goblin Prince, Cave Bat, Lamia Queen, Draculady, Cave Naga
Treasure: OElixir

Don't fear. Though this resembles the cave where metal weapons were negated, you can safely yield these powerful weapons with ease in the replica. Head across the bridge, all the way to the right, for some treasure. Then head back and down to move on.

Moon's Core

Enemies: Stratoavis, Magic Dragon, Gold Dragon, Silver Dragon, Chimerageist, Red Dragon, Dark Sage, Worst Malboro
Treasure: OMegalixir

This might make you think you're in the room just before battling Zeromus again. But make your way around and down to get to the next room.

Mt. Hobs

Enemies: Gargoyle, King Bomb, Skeleton, Palace Guard, Cockatrice, Goblin Prince
Treasure: Red Fang

The area resembles the plateau where you met Yang. Down the steps. Nab the treasure. Hit the door. Good as done.

Mt. Ordeals

Enemies: Magic Dragon, Palace Guard, Revenant, Soul, Coeurl Regina, Stratoavis, Chaotic Knight
Treasure: ArmorCaesar's Plate

When you enter, you'll be standing at the save point from Mt. Ordeals. Make sure you head up and examine the mysterious room you went into to become a paladin. When you do, you'll pick up a magnificent piece of armor for Cecil.

Robot of Babil

Enemies: Magic Dragon, Coeurl Regina, Beamer, Giant Soldier, Chaotic Knight, Stratoavis, Mech Soldier, Centaurion, Last Arm, Worst Malboro
Treasure: OCottage, Gysahl Whistle, OMegalixir, KatanaMutsunokami

This is a larger room that has the same purple color and décor of the Robot of Babil. There are no surprises to this room, beyond the monsters you'll encounter, so just follow the hall down and around. Before hitting the door, make sure you grab the treasure chest the top left most corner of the room. It holds one of Edge's best swords.

Sealed Cave

Enemies: Magic Dragon
Treasure: OCottage, ODry Ether, ArmorDragoon Plate

It looks like the Sealed Cave, which may make you wary of the two doors at the top. But fear not, they aren't the annoying Trap Doors you fought before. They're normal doors that lead to yummy treasure. Snatch it and run.

Sylvan Cave

Enemies: Lamia Queen, Evil Dreamer, King Bomb, Malboro, Palace Guard, Coeurl Regina, Goblin Prince, Mammon
Treasure: ClawTiger Fang, OMegalixir

The room resembles the Sylvan Cave in the Underworld. Before moving, make sure you cast OFloat, if you can, to avoid getting damaged by the green floor tiles. Go down, and then to the right and find the hidden passage in the wall. If you find the next hidden passage below, you'll find a whole room full of green poison steps. There's another hidden passage to the right which leads to a long passage. At the end of a passage is a very useful piece of treasure. When you get it, head all the way back and then down the passage to the cabin. Before entering, check the urn at the side for a nice healing item, too.

Tower of Babil

Enemies: Green Dragon, Coeurl Regina, King Bomb, Ghost Knight, Fiery Hound, Crystal Dragon, Mythril Golem, Evil Doll, Ironback, Palace Guard
Treasure: ODry Ether

Resembling a floor of the Tower of Babil. Head up and down. If you head up, that's fine too if you like walking unnecessarily long distances. There's a treasure chest next to the door. Take it, unless you're one of those people who hates treasure. Then head through the door and move on.

Tower of Zot

Enemies: Hell Turtle, Cold Beast, Coeurl Regina, Sorceress, Palace Guard, Purple Bavarois, Soldieress, King Bomb, Black Knight, Ice Lizard
Treasure: ORemedy

Easy going. Head to the furthest corner in the top left for a treasure. Head to the right to find the door.

Water Cavern

Enemies: Lamia Queen, Goblin Prince, King Bomb, Sahagin Prince, Great Malboro
Treasures: ArmorWhite Dress, OX-Potion, OCottage

This room looks familiar to the caverns you traversed early in the game with Tellah. You'll find there are two ways to go. These two split into even more waterfalls to fall down. If you end up going the wrong way, you'll find a door that will lead you back to the top until you find the correct door. To get the visible treasure chest, from the top, go to the right and then straight down the next waterfall. Once you gather up all the treasures, if you haven't thoroughly confused yourself, move on. The correct way is, from the top, take the left waterfall, down the next one, then go straight down to the next waterfall. Walk down, then take the stairs up to dry land where there will be a door to the right leading to the next area.

Water Passage

Enemies: Crystal Dragon, Toadgre, Zombie, Sahagin Prince, Tiny Mage
Treasure: OX-Potion, OCottage

Head down and around until you hit the water. Walk up and to the right where you'll find steps to dry land to get the treasure chest you just saw. Head back and into the water and go to the left where you'll find another step of steps to another treasure. Head back into the water and find the set of steps in the middle that leads to the door.

Water Passage to Baron

Enemies: Flood Worm, Coeurl Regina, Death Shell, Crystal Dragon, Palace Guard, Sahagin Prince, Electrofish, Splasher, King Bomb, Hydra
Treasure: Gysahl Whistle, ORemedy, ODry Ether

This is the same block-format look you encountered in the path back into Baron. A system of hidden passages lead to three lovely treasures. When you pluck them, head up the waterfall and out the door.

Waterfall

Enemies: Echidna, Water Bug, Vile Shell
Treasure: Blue Fang

Follow the pathway across the bridge, first to the right to find the treasure.
