After the quarry arrives, the prompt for changing party members/accessing the menu comes up. Choose wisely and continue down the same root path everyone walked a short while before. The fourth screen in, the allies automatically climb the trunk towards a stall battle with two misty monsters.

Being undead, they can be killed with δPhoenix Down / Life spells. Yawn!

Once some of the theatrics have been done, Dagger runs off on her own, leaving the party changed if she had been in it previously. When the party reforms, talk to Mocchi, who's half-hidden nearby, save / δTent if needed and read the letter from Stiltzkin. Follow the root down a ways, where a few more mandatory Mistodon (a) and Mistodon (b) fights take place, and get the δAquamarine, which allows Dagger to summon Leviathan. Enjoy the show, and change the disc.
