Delita Heiral
Biography
Delita, being a similar age to Ramza, grew up as the Beoulve's best friend. The pair are closer to brothers, as the children of the Heiral family came to live within House Beoulve when their parents, commoners serving within the fiefdom, died of the plague. While mainly accepted within the House and treated mostly as a peer to Ramza, the circumstances of Delita's birth are never far from the top of his mind. He is confident and mature, and on the lookout for the opportunities that may arise among those who do not know that he is lowborn.Throughout the first chapter of the game, Delita and Ramza's rising stars as soldiers don't just create the aforementioned opportunities, they also sharpen Delita's resolve to a point as he is repeatedly shown that Gallionne will never let him grow in stature due to his common birth. This is reinforced painfully as his captured sister, the last of his family, is murdered by nobility rather than making an attempt to negotiate her release. In the wake of losing Tietra, Delita sets out to use his skills to consolidate his own power wherever possible; this leads to him changing allegiances seemingly every time Ramza meets him for the rest of the story. No matter where Delita appears to have cast his lot, though, he truly serves only himself, which through shrewd manipulation leads him to unimaginable heights and a growing pile of corpses.
