Wiegraf Folles

Wiegraf Folles

Biography

For a short time, Wiegraf and Ramza live in parallel, while still skirmishing as neither knows that some of their goals are aligned. A commoner, Wiegraf leads the Corpse Brigade, a small army of revolutionaries aiming to remove Ivalice's feudal system as payback for mistreatment in the Fifty Years' War. Rogue members of his forces botch kidnappings of both Alma (taking Tietra instead) and Elmdore, bringing down the wrath of both the White and Black Lions, and giving him reason to reverse both just as Ramza does the same. Any potential common ground between the two becomes more impossible, though, as Ramza slays Wiegraf's sister, Milleuda, in battle. For a time, Wiegraf disappears from view, in mourning and with his forces annihilated.

Leader of the Corpse Brigade, a group of brigands terrorizing Gallionne. During the Fifty Years' War, he served as leader of the Dead Men, a company of volunteer soldiers assembled from the peasantry. Although they fought valiantly and with purpose, they were no longer needed after Ivalice's defeat, and at war's end were summarily discharged without compensation. Wiegraf formed the Corpse Brigade soon after.

Aggrieved at his treatment by the ruling class, Wiegraf formed the Corpse Brigade to overthrow the nobility and free the common people from their suffering. They used kidnapping and assassination as a means to achieve this, but the group was wiped out in a counterattack by the Order of the Northern Sky. Wiegraf has not been seen since the battle at Ziekden.

He used the power of a Zodiac Stone to transform into a Lucavi, but was never the less slain in battle against Ramza at Riovanes.
