Before the next area, the group takes time to rest in an abandoned house. There, it is learned that Alma and Ovelia knew each other in a monastery awhile back. Agrias reassures the Princess that they’re almost at Lionel Castle where they will be safe.

15. Bariaus Hill

This battle can be extremely difficult unless you get lucky against the two summoners. If Mustadio decides to simply attack them, then it’s going to be difficult. However, if he uses and succeeds with Arm Aim, they won’t be able to do anything but move, giving you the opportunity to kill them both. All in all, you’ll need to kill both of them first because otherwise they’re going to be launching powerful summons at you and healing their party members. One thing to remember when traveling down the two side valleys is to have your characters wait facing inwards towards the archers because otherwise they’re sitting ducks to arrows. Summoners won’t use regular attacks so it’s useless to face them. After the summoners are dead, heal everyone up and kill the Archers, then the Knights. You can reverse the order of those, but as long as the summoners aren’t dead and you have a method of healing, the battle will be fine.

After the battle, you see a scene with Dycedarg and Gafgarion, and you find out the Dycedarg is into this plot more than it seemed before. He tells Gafgarion to kill Agrias and the others, including Ramza, because they’ll only get in the way of the plot.
