When you arrive at Goug Machine City, Mustadio will go off on his own and the two of you decide to meet at some slums later. You’ll be sent back to the world map, but if you move, a battle will begin at Goug. Ramza will enter the slums and Mustadio will be brought in, captured by Bart Company. Mustadio tells Ramza that the Holy Stone is hidden right near him, and Ramza finds it and gives it to Rudvich, the leader of Bart Company, in exchange for Mustadio’s safety. However, Rudvich goes back on his word and the party is attacked.

This battle will be the hardest one you’ve fought at this point in the game. The summoners make it extremely difficult because it’s hard to get over to them without them launching spells at you, and to make things worse, Mustadio is useless in the battle since he’ll die right away and won’t serve any purpose if revived. Bring along a chemist for long-distance healing and bring along a Summoner of your own. Summoners can heal big groups of only your party members with Mogri and can do a lot of damage with summons such as Shiva, Ramuh, and Ifrit. Archers of your own can be helpful, and Monks with Earth Fist will be a big help because of the range. The earlier you can take out the summoners, the easier the battle will be, but since they outnumber you six to five once Mustadio’s down, it’s going to be a fight. After the summoners, take out the Thieves because they can confuse members of the opposite sex, and finally the Archers. One good thing about this battle taking place in Goug is that you can purchase Romanda Guns there, which have a range of 8. Chemists can equip them and Mediators can learn the skill “Equip Gun,” so put those to good use, because their range is amazing and they do fairly good damage.

After the battle, Mustadio and Ramza will rescue Mustadio’s father, who has been worried because Bart Company has the Holy Stone. However, Mustadio digs around in his pocket and pulls out the real Holy Stone. It seems he gave Bart Company the slip and it’s dangerous for now to stay in Goug. Mustadio then realizes that it’s dangerous for Agrias and Ovelia because Draclau didn’t send troops to stop Bart Company after all and it’s likely that they were working together. The party decides to head back to Lionel Castle via ship to Warjilis Trade City to rescue them. Mustadio finally joins up as a character that you control, rather than a guest.
