Additional Information
When Cecil and Kain fail to return from their mission to Myst, Rosa sets off after them. Unfortunately, she falls victim to a desert fever and is delirious and barely conscious by the time Cecil finds her. After Cecil retrieves the Sand Ruby, curing her illness, Rosa insists on joining Cecil and helping him fight against Baron. On the way to Fabul, it is Rosa's patience and encouragement that convinces Rydia to use magic despite being frightened, and she proves herself to be an invaluable party member, thanks to her skill with white magic. During the preparation for the defense of Fabul, Rosa agrees to support the fighters through healing. She reappears in time to see Kain and Cecil fight for the Crystal of Air, but her interference on Cecil's behalf attracts unwanted attention; Golbez kidnaps her and leaves a crippled Cecil protesting in vain.
Rosa is taken to the Tower of Zot, where she is held prisoner by Golbez and his minions. She is alarmed to discover that Kain has betrayed his friends by allying with Golbez, and tries futilely to reason with him. Far from being reasonable, however, Kain instead reveals the extent of his feelings for Rosa and becomes angry when she fails to return his love. Rosa's presence and continued defiance goad Kain into greater depths of hatred for Cecil, and he vows to prove to Rosa that he is the superior of the two.
Finally, Cecil and his companions reach the Tower of Zot, where Kain regains his senses and leads Cecil to Rosa, who is mere moments from being killed by a trap. Cecil rescues her in the nick of time, and the pair embrace. No longer burdened by darkness, Cecil is finally able to confess that he reciprocates her love.
As the Tower of Zot begins to collapse, Rosa again proves her magic invaluable by teleporting the party back to Baron. She continues to fight at Cecil's side until, preparing for the final battle, Cecil asks her to remain behind, where she will be safe. In contrast to Rydia's indignant protests, Rosa retreats quietly, though she's obviously hurt by the exclusion. When Cecil arrives on the moon and discovers that Rosa has stowed away, she explains that she wants nothing more than to fight at his side, and that she can't bear to be separated from him. Cecil relents, and the party continues together.
In the aftermath of the final battle, Rosa returns to Baron with Cecil, where the two are married, and Rosa becomes Baron's new queen.
