Biography

Lucca is a brilliant inventor that lives with her father Taban and mother Lara just outside Truce Village and Guardia Castle in 1000 A.D. A scientific prodigy, Lucca is very gifted inventor, having creating the battle robot Gato among several other inventions. A childhood friend of Crono, the debut of Lucca’s newest invention is one reason Crono is eager to attend the Millennial Fair.

In battle, Lucca has poor HP, Stamina, and Speed but excellent MP, Magic, and Magic Defense. As a Fire-element character, Lucca receives less damage from Fire attacks. Lucca’s gun weapons depend solely on Hit for damage, and throughout the game she lags behind the rest of the cast in physical damage (except for Marle). Six of Lucca’s eight Techs deal direct Fire damage at various areas of effect, with only Hypno Wave and Protect the exceptions. All of Lucca’s Dual and Triple Techs deal Fire or Shadow damage, strongly varying in power and range. At the game’s end, Lucca’s chief uses in a party are for powerful Fire damage, a number of very strong Dual and Triple Techs, and the ability to reduce the strength of enemies’ physical attacks with Protect.

Additional Information

Lucca's affinity with technology originates from a tragic event of her childhood, which you can see first hand as a part of an endgame sidequest. As a young girl, Lucca witnessed her mother, Lara, get pulled into one of her father's machines. Not knowing how to stop the machine, Lucca watched as her mother was permanently crippled. However, since you are in fact able to bend time during this game you are also able to stop the machine and save her mother.
