But wait, there's more! If you're playing the re-release of Final Fantasy IV (which we all assume you are considering you've selected the GBA version of the walkthrough), then we present to you the new dungeons.

If you happen to be playing the Gameboy Advance re-release, then as soon as the Lunar Whale gets summoned, you will have access to the first special dungeon. While you're in the tower, one of the mages will come and alert you that a new pathway mysteriously opened up at Mt. Ordeals. It's completely optional, but it does have some weapons that are worth investigating, especially since this is your first chance to change your party. The cave contains some strong weapons for these characters since their previous weapons are just horribly ineffective by now.

First, assemble your party. Just note that for each character's new weapon, that character must be in your party to obtain it. So with your party, head to Mt. Ordeals. Once you get there, you'll see a cut scene that shows you the new pathway available. Go to it and you'll first see yourself in a room similar to that where you were when Cecil became a paladin. A disembodied voice challenges you to "step inside if you want to test yourself". Head beyond, into the first room of the cave. The enemy encounters should be fairly simple, most of them being foes you encountered in the Cave of Summons and Sealed Cave.

Head up to get an easy treasure. Then find the hidden path in between the two rocks at the right wall to reach another useful treasure. Going further left and down the stairs leads to a dead end, so instead head up to the stairs to the next floor. Once done, going left yields a treasure; then, head up and follow the path. If you move upwards before you hit the next level, you'll find a treasure chest. Then head down to what looks like an empty platform. Next to the stone is a secret passage that leads to another fine piece of loot. Heading to the next area, you see a treasure chest that is unreachable, due to the path being blocked by rocks. Bypass it for now. Heading straight down into the corner, investigate the right wall for a secret passage to treasure. Going back, follow the path around. Grab the visible chest. Head to the top right corner and examine the right wall for a secret passage, which leads to that trapped treasure that you first saw a few minutes back. Nothing else to obtain here, so head back the way you came, then follow the steps down to the next room.

By now, you should be in B4. There are two ways to go here. Heading down leads to a dead end, so instead head right and down the steps. Continuing down from there will take you to a treasure. Then if you examine the wall on the left, you'll find a secret passage that leads to another previously-blocked treasure. Hooray for this caves and its lots of loot! Now, back up and to the right—if you go all the way down and around, you'll find another precious treasure chest waiting to be plucked. Go back from whence you came, at which point you will proceed upwards to see the entrance to the next level. Not so fast! Before exiting this floor, head to the right and find the secret passage leading to another fine piece of treasure. As you enter the passage, heading all the way left leads to more treasure. Retrace your steps to the main passage, and proceed up the stairs, grabbing the visible chest as you pass. Follow the path up and around until you see the door. Don't go in it yet—instead, head left, then examine the wall in the left hand corner for yet another hidden passage. You're lucky all these passages are hidden or surely some other traveler would have found all these goodies by now, eh? Head back and then down the steps to find a group of rocks. Check the wall for another tunnel, to another great piece of treasure. With all the good stuff in your possession, head back and through the door. The next room is long and winding, with not much to do in between except follow the path up and down stairs. As you get to a platform at the top of the plateau, check the left wall for a special helmet. Before heading back, check the bottom right hand wall for another path leading to a corresponding armor. Head back to the main road and follow. Getting the other end, head down for treasure, then back up to the door.

As you make your way up, you'll see three different paths. Going to the left and right both lead to a OMegalixir. Heading straight up leads to the final room full of the ancient Lunarian weapons. Like I said, you're going to need the person who equips the weapon in your party. Also, you will find that each will require a battle with a boss. Below, you can find specific strategies for each boss. Obviously, strategies for each Trial boss may vary depending on you have in your party. For full (yet still feminine!) coverage, I would always have at least one healer (Rosa, Porom), one black mage (Rydia, Palom), one or two powerhouses (Kain, Yang, Edge), and/or one jack-of-all-trades (Edward, Cid). There are two insignias at the center of the room. Once of them is a save point. The other is a warp to the outside. It's wise to get all the weapons for all who you have in your party before warping outside, because you will indeed have to go through the entire cave each time to get back to this room.
