Vargas

Biography

Vargas is the son of the martial arts instructor Duncan as well as Sabin's rival. When Vargas suspects that Duncan will name Sabin as the successor to his martial arts school, he kills his father. The party encounters Vargas at ERROR and meets up with Sabin shortly thereafter.

Vargas didn't actually kill his father. It's unknown exactly what happened, but Duncan can be found alive and well in the World of Ruin in a cabin east of Narshe. On ERROR, Vargas is able to incapacitate the party, but Sabin defeats him mano-a-mano with the Blitz technique Raging Fist. Poor Vargas. Such hubris.
