Chapter 2 begins where the prologue left off, with Ramza, Gafgarion, and Agrias at Orbonne Monastery following Princess Ovelia’s abduction. Agrias is going off by herself, but Ramza insists that he wants to accompany her because he knows Delita and wants to find out what’s going on. Gafgarion mentions that it’s not the contract, but reluctantly agrees to come along. Agrias and Gafgarion join as guests, and Rad, Alicia, and Lavian can join up as regular party members. The only place to go out of Orbonne Monastery is Dorter Trade City where some shady actions are taking place. A mysterious man is paying off a group of thieves to take care of Ramza’s party, and a battle ensues.

11. Dorter Trade City

Rad, Alicia, and Lavian may seem like good characters to bring along, but instead bring along the characters you’ve already leveled up in chapter 1. Make sure, as usual, to have someone that can heal. This battle isn’t all that difficult because Gafgarion and Agrias together have incredible sword skills that do awesome damage -- the real challenge is keeping all your people from permanently dying. You should have two people who know Phoenix Down and can use them during this battle, as well as people who can use Potion or even Hi-Potion. Gafgarion will take people out and heal himself in the process, so he’s safe, but Agrias could be taken out. Overall, the most important enemies to worry about are the Wizards, but they shouldn’t do too much damage at this point.

After the battle, Agrias realizes that the only place that the kidnappers could have escaped to is Bethla Garrison, a place with extremely strong defense. Thus, that is your next destination.
