Wiegraf is finally back and is more powerful than ever. It seems he’s gone from the now-defunct Death Corps and has joined up with the Shrine Knights. Either way, he’s now a Holy Knight and has access to the same attacks as Agrias and has the potential to take out your whole party by himself. Start off the battle by spacing your party so he can’t hit too many characters at once (this works even better if you have a fast character like a Ninja or a Thief along that might go before him, further spacing out your characters). The quicker you can take him out, the better. Focus all your attacks on him, including magic, summons, and regular attacks (Ninjas work especially well here, too, as they can attack twice in one turn). Don’t worry too much about healing in this battle because you just want to take him out as quickly as you can. Don’t be surprised if it takes you a couple tries since a part of this battle is how lucky you are in hitting him, as his evade is high.

After the battle, Wiegraf will teleport away and Izlude will run away on chocobo with Alma. Wiegraf is critically injured and is bleeding outside the Monastery as Ramza comes out, looking for Alma. The Holy Stone found in the Monastery begins speaking to Wiegraf, asking him if he wants its power. Ramza warns him not to, but Wiegraf has no choice other than dying, and he is transformed into Velius, the devil. He runs away for now, and Simon comes out of hiding to give Ramza the Germonik Scriptures before passing on. The Germonik Scriptures is a book written by a disciple of St. Ajora, a character in the Glabados Church. It’s a book that the enemies will surely be after, so it’s important for Ramza to have.
