31. Inside Riovanes Castle

This battle is a one-on-one battle with Wiegraf. Unless you’re well-prepared, he can annihilate you pretty easily, and this isn’t a stereotypical Final Fantasy battle where you’re supposed to die. You have to win this battle, and there are various means you can take to achieve it. First of all, you should get Auto-Potion and give it to Ramza, and you should dispose of all of your potions except for X-Potions. This will ensure that when Ramza is attacked, he’ll have a good chance of restoring 150 health to himself. This will make the battle a whole lot easier. There are many different means of defeating Wiegraf. You can make Ramza a Lancer and jump on Wiegraf over and over, keeping Ramza out of harm’s way while he’s in the air. You can make him a Ninja and hope that the two attacks will counter Wiegraf’s one. You can even make Ramza a Squire and have him use Yell until his speed is 50, giving him about six attacks every time Wiegraf gets one. After that, keep Accumulating until your attack power is around 99. This will take over an hour but you’ll gain nearly 15 levels in the process, making you ready for the next battle. This one is tough but there are many different methods you can take to win it.
