When the group arrives at Igros, Algus gets a big head and asks for 100 troops to help take the Marquis, who they have learned has been kidnapped by the Death Corps, a group of anarchists displeased with their low status after fighting for the country in the fifty-year war. Dycedarg reminds Algus of his rank and tells him that theyâll command the troops. Later, in a courtyard, Zalbag comes and talks with Ramza, telling him that âguarding a castle is boring workâ and insinuating to trouble at Dorter Trade City. Thatâs the groupâs next goal, to investigate the Death Corps at Dorter. Along the way to Dorter lies the Sweegy Woods, where the next battle awaits.

The battle may seem tough because of the number of enemies, but theyâre all just regular monsters and are easier to defeat than human enemies. The best job classes to have here are Archers and Wizards, because Archers can attack from long range and then run, and Wizards can deal a lot of elemental damage. Fight a couple of random battles at Mandalia Plains to level up your existing jobs so you can change to better ones. It doesnât matter what order you defeat the enemies in as long as you kill the Bombs quickly; if you donât, theyâll use self-destruct and cause a lot of damage. Once again, it really helps to have a chemist so you can heal if someone takes too much damage. A Priest also works well even though they have to charge their spells and chemists can use items instantly.
