3. The Golden Hammertime
| Enemies: | Kingfrog, Exile, Slate Imp, Pink Imp, Jackpot |
| Treasures: | 133,000 G, Hi-Potion, 2x Shelter, Mid-Potion, Athenian Water, Turbo Ether, Dragonhead, 2x Megalixir |
Here you begin with what is probably the easiest quest of the lot. Take the south exit, and go left to get a Hi-Potion from a chest. Go to the right, then follow the path up to get 8000G. Continue south, picking up a Shelter from a chest on the right, and then a Turbo Ether from a chest behind the trees. Along the bottom path, you'll see a chest with a Mid-Potion and then a chest above it, hidden by more trees, which contains an Athenian Water. There's an exit to the top-left of the screen, but it leads to a dark place which you won't be able to traverse at the moment. By the sand near the frogs there are some sparkles. Check them out for Golden Sand — the first piece in this quest's puzzle. Return to the previously-infested forest, and examine at the sparkles at the end of the path. You'll sprinkle the Golden Sand over the sapling, and then be told to wait. For a long time. Your next stop is the Sanctum in the Middle Ages.
Instead of your party being greeted by hordes of monsters, as before, there will now be reptites! These reptites, though, hate you and flee. A lot can change in 65 million years, it would seem. Apparently, though, legends can be passed down for that amount of time, no problem, and this will pave the way to your party reconciling with the reptites! Once again, you will agree to help the clan of this time with their various tasks, beginning with the eradication of monsters that returned to the forest that you helped sort out barely minutes ago! Or... many millennia. The relativity of time is an amazing, stupid thing.
The forest, fortunately, hasn't changed much. The chests that you emptied have now been restocked, so make sure you check between the trees again, and you'll pick up a Shelter, 25000G, a Turbo Ether, a
Dragonhead, and a Megalixir in a new tree enclosure on the top left corner. When you get to the top, you'll notice that there is no tree where you saw the sapling. Instead, a beast wielding a golden hammer will emerge and flee. Chase after him, but make sure you're ready for a boss fight.Goldhammer ![]() Bestiary #: 234 | Level | HP | Attack | Speed | Magic Power

Golden Hammer Boulder Thrash | Rush [1 HP] Strategy A simple boss to begin with, but don't let your guard down. He'll start with a weakness to magical attacks, but every time you hit him with one, his Attack will increase, so be wary. When he sits down, he'll counter with Rush, — an attack which reduces your HP to one. Use your magical double and triple techs to make short work of him, as at only 5800HP, it's not hard to take off that much damage before he is able to kill you.
After the fight, you'll take the hammer from his sorry-looking figure, and then you'll be returned to the forest. Check that all of the monsters are gone, and then return to the village. The Elder will reward you with a Megalixir for clearing the forest. You could have done this before getting the Golden Sand, but it's quicker this way, and on the same path. Return to the Sanctum in Prehistory, and speak to the reptite from whom you got the hammer quest in the first place, and he will give you 100000G! It's all in a few millennia's work.
