7. The End of Time

When you try to leave via the pillars of light, the Old Man will call you back and tell you to check out the room behind him, first. There you will meet Spekkio, the Master of War, who comes in a variety of forms. He'll give you an opportunity to learn magic. Doing so will give Crono, Marle, and Lucca their third techs and allow them to start gaining Tech Points again for the fourth through eighth techs. Robo cannot learn Magic from Spekkio, but his lasers deal Shadow-type damage. Starting from the door, walk clockwise around the room three times, then go back and talk to him. If you did it correctly, well done! You'll learn your magic techs and be given the opportunity to fight him. If so, know that you can only damage him with Magic techniques. If you win, you'll get a different set of items depending on his current form (his form changes depending on your strength.)
After you get your magic, return to the main corridor and talk to the old man, who will tell you that you need to return to your era. Find the pillar of light that says Medina Village, 1000 A.D., and you're on your way.
