You'll end up at the Baron end of the Devil's Road. Step outside into the village of Baron and have a look around. Maybe check out what's in stock at the weapon shop- oh crud, locked. Oh well. Head outside to save the game, then head into the Castle Baron- oh crud, heavily guarded. Looks like you'll have to find another way in. Why don't you go check out the inn (hint hint).
Notice someone familiar at the table in the bar? That's right, Yang survived the attack. But it becomes quite apparent when you talk to him that he seems to be in cahoots with the Baron guards. As soon as you whack them, smack some sense into Yang in the literal sense of the word. He'll come to, recognize Cecil has become a paladin, and promptly rejoin your party to storm Baron. Yang reveals that he has the BaronKey given to him by the Baron guards. Mayhap these certain keys are for the weapon shop and the door on the farthest left end of town. Make sure you get the treasures in the inn if you haven't already. Scope out the weapon and armor shop, then open the door on the far west end of town. Make sure you're loaded on healing items. The monsters coming up are powerful and deal many new status ailments.
You can also take a side trip back to Mist the same way you went the first time. An empty fireplace in one of the houses conceals a secret passage leading to a Tiara, which is a better helmet than you're going to be able to purchase for quite some time. You can also purchase the Dancing for Palom, which has an item-use attack similar to the Rod.
