9. We Could Have Saved Time if Kaipo Had a Pharmacy

Follow the shallows back to Damcyan, then head west on the hovercraft where you'll find more shallows that lead back to the Kaipo desert. Park the hovercraft outside and rush to your love. Upon initiating conversation with Rosa, you'll be prompted with an item box. Select the SandRuby. Rosa will feel immediately better. After both being relieved that both are alive and well, they discuss the odd behavior of the king of Baron. It seems that Golbez is the new captain of the Red Wings. She reveals a conspiracy to obtain the remaining crystals that has something to do with Golbez manipulating the king. After much rejection, Cecil is finally talked into letting Rosa join the party to protect the remaining crystals. But for now, they'll rest for the night.

Cut scene to late at night. Edward emerges from the room and plays his harp under the moonlight, his thoughts still on Anna. Suddenly, a monster appears and engages in a battle with Edward. Through victory comes a renewed strength of resolve. Cue the heroic music.

Now that three quarters of your party got a good night's sleep, get some supplies in town, then head back in the direction of the Antlion's cave. Mock the dead beast as you speed past, and continue until you reach a mountainous region.
