2. Towns and Townspeople

Your first stop should be the village of Baron, right outside of the castle. Various pots and patches of landscape hide items; in particular, enter the river and check the water; go through the bushes in the northeast part of town and check the grass; open the obvious secret door in the Inn for a few chests (not obvious enough? Look at the wall decor); and check the bookshelf in Rosa's mother's house. You can purchase items if you like, but the weapon and armor stores are both closed. This makes perfect sense - why would the King want his people to equip themselves before setting out, anyway?
