Once you're in your airship, head due south from Baron. The first piece of land you come to is a small island with a village next to a patch of mountains. This is where you want to be, so land your aircraft and head on into town. Don't bother looking into the weapon and armor shop, as you've already outgrown everything they sell. If you talk to some of the citizens, they'll tell you about their ancestor lineage coming from dwarves, and there's a dark side to everything light. I know what you're thinking: "These people are crazy." And you're probably right.
In the first building as you come into town, you'll find a pair of men who are observing the moons. They report some weird things they've seen on the moon. Perhaps something you should investigate at some point, but let's face it, you have enough on your plate for now. Have a look for yourself in the telescope anyway; you don't want to be rude. When you're through talking with everyone, visit the well that's in the center of the town. When you press the action button, an item box will prompt you to select an item. Select Magma. All of a sudden, the mountainous region outside of the town will explode, exposing a giant hole, large enough to fit an airship. Guess where you're going next.
As soon as you enter, you'll immediately be attacked by Golbez's forces. Also, the heat from the magma is too much for the airship to take. You have no choice but to take it down. When Cecil comes to, you'll find yourself right next to a kingdom. And again, I say, guess where you're going next. What might you find?
Looks like those in Agart weren't crazy. This whole kingdom is inhabited by dwarves. Head to the throne room to tell the king of your plight, and to gear up for an attack from Golbez for their dark crystal. When King Giott asks for your assistance in their fight, Cid takes it upon himself to go fix the airship to help out. You don't have too much time to worry about this, though.
Yang then notices something suspicious coming from the crystal room behind King Giott's throne. The others are clueless, but Yang is adamant he saw something. Better check it out, then, just to be safe. Who knows what might be there?

Speed is the name of the game. The battle will start out as three Cals and three Brinas. Their attacks are pretty weak. Try to take them out using basic strategy. Cecil attack, Kain jump, Yang use Kick or attack normally, Rosa cures when needed or uses Aim. If you don't cut them all down in time, they will unite into Calbrina who is a bit more formidable. Its attacks are heftier. It also uses Glance which confuses one of your guys, and Hold, both of which can get awfully annoying if they hit. Keep your strategy in motion though. If one of your characters becomes confused, have Rosa attack that character with her light damaging bow and arrow (and if Rosa's the one who's confused, then she'll have to sustain a blow from one of the other three. Have a healing item with her name on it right after). After Calbrina takes a certain amount of damage, it'll transform back into the six dolls. It doesn't matter if you defeated a couple of them when the transformation happened, the retransformation always brings back all six. That's why speed is of the essence. Hopefully you get them all before they have the chance to transform into Calbrina again.

As soon as you beat up on the dolls, Golbez makes his next appearance. And you're unlucky enough to get in his way. You engage in battle where Golbez stuns your motion nearly immediately. He summons his pet serpent-dragon to finish you all off with Demolish until a Mist dragon attack comes out of nowhere to off the beast. It's revealed that Rydia, who appears much older, cast the death sentence upon the monster, and now is set to duel Golbez.

This one is tough. You stand a much better chance of winning this if you're able to get Kain in the air before he uses Hold Gas to paralyze you all. If you're unable to, that's ok. It's just going to be a tougher road. You have to put as much damage on Golbez as possible. This means forgoing the revival of anyone else, however, if Kain happened to die, it might be worth it to bring him back if for nothing else but as a target so Cecil and Rydia don't take all the damage. Have Cecil delve into Golbez with his sword and Rydia use one of her new summons—I'd suggest Titan as it does quadruple-digit damage—to lay damage into the evil sorcerer. Healing will be a near necessity which falls upon Cecil. Have him use a HiPotion as it will cure more than if he used Cure2. It's important to keep the HP up as Golbez will pull of spells 2 or 3 at a time before you get a move in. A couple slashes of Cecil's sword and a summon or two should be enough to send Golbez on his way.
You just got to the underworld, though, so don't think you've won after this battle. That would just be silly.
After you tell the King of the misfortune, Cecil and his band of merry men (and of course, chicas) volunteer to go track him down at the Tower of Babil to steal back all the crystals he's stolen. The rooms you were restricted from before the fight are now open. They lead to a very useful weapon and armor shop. Stock up on the stuff you don't have. Also make a stop at the inn as you still haven't recovered from your battle with Golbez.
The monsters get extremely difficult from here on out, so it's wise to up your level. Rydia is pretty useless with her HP under 500. I suggest before moving on that you take time to level up. I'd suggest moving on when both Rosa and Rydia have reached level 28.
Go back in the castle and scope out the rest of the kingdom. The guards will allow you to take the treasures in the top of the towers. When you're ready, head to B1F and talk to the dwarf standing next to a bookshelf. He'll open the door leading to the path toward the Tower of Babil. You'll have a few enemy encounters while you march toward the tower. Before you go in, it might be wise to use a tent or cabin to refill before taking on the fearsome baddies of the tower.
