This looks amazingly similar to the Tower of Zot. Maybe Golbez used the same interior decorator for both towers. Save the critique for later, though, because there's no use in staring at techy décor. Head up the stairs and get ready to attack Golbez. The door to the next level is straight ahead. To the left and right is a trio of treasure chests. However, none of them contain anything very important besides a set of

Go back through the door, then all the way around to get to the next stage. When you go through the next door, the first door you see parallel to your position will lead to a save point. You know what to do. Once you've done that, head up the hallway and across the bridge. The room that you see across the first bridge leads to a room with a treasure chest. And much like the first two rooms of similar dimensions, the treasure chest engages you in a fight. Head across the second bridge and through the door. Head down and to the left, getting the treasure chest if you want. There's a pathway leading up to a door. Unfortunately, it's locked. So it looks like you'll have to find the key. Head down the stairs and to the right. Go through the next door as there's no where else to head. You should be on 7F by now. If you go to the first room that is immediately to the right of where you came in, you'll find another save point. Never can be too safe, so tent and save. Head out, back to where you came from, then head to the door that's down.
Top of the tower, you'll find a couple of Golbez' troops talking. It appears some mad scientist is drunk with power since Golbez and the second in command, Rubicant, are gone. The doctor feels your presence and consequently draws you into battle with him and one of his "creations".

This one isn't extremely difficult. Use a basic strategy. Focus all single attacks on Balnab since he'll be the hardest hitting. Have Cecil attack, Kain jump, Yang use his Power technique, and Rosa heal when needed. It might be a good idea to have Rosa start everyone off with a boost of ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Or so you think. Cut scene to Lugae transforming. He'll re-initiate the battle and transform into a cyborg version of himself. But again, this shouldn't change your attack plan. He's going to deliver hits harder than Balnab did, so Cecil may have to use ![]() ![]() | |||||||

You show up just in time to stop the troops. But they set off the cannon aimed at the kingdom, and it's irreversible as they destroy the controls. Of course, the heroes will prevail, but unfortunately not all of them. Additionally, you'll have to go down the way you came, fighting off the enemies, and trying to stay alive. Just when it looks like you're about to make it out, the bridge collapses on you, and the group is sent to their death. But Cid makes his return and saves the four by catching you with his newly improved airship. Golbez doesn't give up as he sends one of the Red Wings to chase you.
Cid commands Cecil to take command while he seals the entrance to the Underworld with a bomb. He then instructs you to visit Baron and talk to his men. It turns out that Cid can't go with you if he wants to seal the cave tight. Better head to Baron as he instructed.
I think you know where to head once in the castle, seeing as you can see Cid's workers from when you come in. To make it more obvious, though, head into the main hall, then go right through the stairwell. Find your way outside and then talk to one of the workers. He'll tell you that his job is to attach a hook to the Enterprise. Cut scene to them working on it. After a short sequence, they'll tell you they're done, and what use the hook is good for: carrying the hovercraft that you abandoned by Mt. Hobs. They also give you a humongous hint on where you're going next .
Once you gain control of the airship, head northeast to Mt. Hobs. There's the hovercraft. Haven't seen that in awhile, eh? When the shadow of the airship is over it, press the action button to pick it up with the winch. Your next stop is the land of Eblan. It's understandable if you have no idea where that is, so fly until you get to Agart, then head west. The first land mass you see will be Eblan. There should be the Tower of Babil peeking out of the Underworld. If you see that, you're golden. Drop the hovercraft on the western shores and land the airship. Before you examine the cave, check out the kingdom of Eblan, or what's left of it after what Golbez' goons did to it.
